Rolf Borch
Rolf Borch- clarinets hold a soloist diploma from the Norwegian State Academy of Music. He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician around Europe and Scandinavia. His repertoire includes concertos by Lachenmann, Ferneyhough, Ness and many more, and a large number of pieces written for him. His solo CD is released by AURORA.
› Håkon Stene
He has premiered a large number of pieces by composers from all over Europe. He performs with the percussion duo TWINE, in the early music scene and in cross-over projects with fiddle player Nils Økland and rock group Jono el Grande Orchestra. In 2005 he was selected for the INTRO-Classical programme of the Norwegian Concert Institute, a three-year launch programme for young soloists. He is constantly working with composers in developing new works for percussion

 

Contemporary music ensemble

asamisimasa was formed in Oslo in 2002. The ensemble has played in festivals like Ultima, Borealis, GAS, Huddersfield, Cutting Edge, Roaring Hooves, 2Days & 2Nights a.o.

The ensemble combines performances of the classical repertoire and post-war avant-garde with new pieces especially written for them, also including electronics, video or other media. The ensemble has collaborated with composers such as Helmut Lachenmann, Aldo Clementi, Michael Finnissy, Chris Dench and many Scandinavian composers such as Dror Feiler, Sven Lyder Kahrs and Simon Steen-Andersen. Projects include portrait of composers Helmut Lachenmann , Aldo Clementi, Nicolaus A Huber, Mathias Spahlinger, a concert series based around the work of Marcel Duchamp, CD recordings, as well as premieres by many European composers

› Janne Berglund
Soprano Janne Berglund has her diplomas from the Norwegian Music Academy and the Royal Danish Opera Academy. She has participated in many chamber music festivals, and she is often heard in different oratorios and with orchestras, among them Stavanger and Trondheim. In 2005 Berglund won the 1st prize in the National part of the Queen Sonja International Music Competition. In August 2007 she is going to debut at the Norwegian National Opera as Mimí in La Boheme by Puccini.
› Heloísa Amaral
Heloísa Amaral –piano was born in São Paulo, in 1981. At the age of sixteen she moved to Germany to study with James Avery at the Freiburger Musikhochschule. She later took a masters degree in historical keyboard performance from the same institution. In 2003 Heloisa moved to Oslo, taking a masters degree in piano at Norges Musikkhøgskole. She has since then been a member of asamisimasa, taking actively part in the Norwegian musical life.
› Anders Førisdal
Anders Førisdal (1977) – guitars studied in Oslo where he performs with asamisimasa, as a soloist and with various orchestras and ensembles. Førisdal plays rare multi-string guitars and microtonal guitars, and has collaborated with composers such as Brian Ferneyhough, Roger Redgate, Michael Finnissy, Sven Lyder Kahrs and Matthew Shlomowitz. on these instruments.
